A Clinical Study on the Effect of Scaling and Root Planing

Abstract

|
|
For the evaluation of the effect of scaling and root planing, this retrospective study assessed the changes in various clinical parameters following therapy. Plaque Index, Gingival Index, probing pocket depth, probing attachment level, and tooth mobility were measured in 54 chronic periodontitis patients before and after therapy. According to the patient mean and percentage distribution of various clinical parameters, there were remarkable improvements in all parameters following scaling and root planing.
